ANA HELENA

Ana Helena completed East West College of the Healing Arts’ Oregon Massage Therapists training program in 1995 and is currently a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Oregon (OR LIC 15790). She has studied Thai Massage at Wat Po in Bangkok, Thailand; advanced massage techniques at Oregon School of Massage; Reiki under a master in Alaska; Myofascial Release with Jennifer Kramer; Shiatsu with Sandi Mullany in Portland, Oregon, and; was recently a teacher assistant to Walter Libby in his Trigger Points Myofascial Release class. She has been practicing yoga for 21 years, and completed a Vipassana meditation course just prior to the birth of her first daughter in 2007.

A graduate of The Evergreen State College, she received a Bachelor of Science with a focus in Chemistry in 2005. While at Evergreen, she studied and tutored Anatomy and Physiology, worked in the Phage Lab, and designed a chemistry course to synthesize bio-diesel fuel from oil sources as varied as coconut oil and reclaimed cooking oil.

Ana Helena has long been involved in music, art and activism. She delights in her daughters, her garden and new places. She travels extensively, and has practiced massage in Ecuador, Thailand, and Europe. She has been a volunteer massage therapist at Oregon Health Sciences University in the Oncology Massage Program, and has a private practice, Sea Change Massage, in Portland, Oregon.
